macropteroides, Apogon Bleeker [P.] 1853:724 [Natuurkundig Tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch Indië v. 3 (no. 5); ref. 16829] Lepar Island, Bangka, Indonesia. Holotype (unique): RMNH 5608 (1 of 64, but mixed species). Original as macropteroïdes. The unique holotype was mixed with many specimens representing more than one species; Gon & Randall 2003:28 mention a lectotype, but on p. 30 they regard a 74-mm specimen as the holotype. •Synonym of Archamia fucata (Cantor 1849) -- (T. Fraser, pers. comm. 9/2000, Gon & Randall 2003:28 [ref. 27133]). •Synonym of Taeniamia fucata (Cantor 1849). Current status: Synonym of Taeniamia fucata (Cantor 1849). Apogonidae: Apogoninae.
