Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Pomacentrus trimaculatus Rüppell 1829, replaced by Pomacentrus dorsomaculatus Kendall & Goldsborough 1911. •Synonym of Dischistodus perspicillatus (Cuvier 1830) -- (Allen 1991:244 [ref. 19344], Kottelat 2013:377 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:65 [ref. 38418]). 1°Homonym.
