Also in Bleeker 1850:102 [ref. 16888]. •Valid as Gymnocranius lethrinoides (Bleeker 1850) -- (Sato in Masuda et al. 1984:179 [ref. 6441]). •Questionably the same as Gymnocranius robinsoni (Gilchrist & Thompson 1908) -- (Sato 1986:607 [ref. 5152]). •Synonym of Gymnocranius grandoculis (Valenciennes 1830) -- (Carpenter & Allen 1989:27 [ref. 13577], Randall et al. 1990:198 [ref. 15987], Randall 2005:274 [ref. 28239]). Current status: Synonym of Gymnocranius grandoculis (Valenciennes 1830). Lethrinidae: Monotaxinae. Habitat: marine.
