Holotype (unique): SMNS 2490. Type catalog: Fricke 1992:6 [ref. 20296], Fricke 2005:15 [ref. 29864]. Name appeared as Mülleri in original. Also appeared in Klunzinger 1880:387 [63 of separate], Pl. 9 (fig. 1) [ref. 2624]. •Synonym of Halophryne diemensis (Lesueur 1824) -- (Larson & Williams 1997:349 [ref. 23967], Larson et al. 2013:52 [ref. 32988]). Current status: Synonym of Halophryne diemensis (Lesueur 1824). Batrachoididae: Halophryninae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
