Current status: Synonym of Hyporhamphus affinis (Günther 1866). Hemiramphidae. Habitat: marine.

delagoae, Hemirhamphus (Hyporhamphus) Barnard [K. H.] 1925:498 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 9) v. 15 (no. 86) (art. 56); ref. 12730] Delagoa Bay, southeastern Mozambique. Lectotype: SAM 12303. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1927.12.6.13 [ex SAM] (1). Original genus is correctly Hemiramphus. Smith 1933 [ref. 12731] gives SAM 12303 as "Holotype"; this specimen is designated as lectotype by Collette 1982:720 [ref. 12729]. •Synonym of Hemirhamphus affinis Günther 1866. Not H. delagoae as treated by Parin et al. 1980:40 [ref. 6895] [= Hyporhamphus improvisus Smith 1933] (see Collette 1982 [ref. 12729]). •Synonym of Hyporhamphus affinis (Günther 1866) -- (Collette 1986:390 [ref. 5647], Collette 2004:6 [ref. 27583]). Current status: Synonym of Hyporhamphus affinis (Günther 1866). Hemiramphidae. Habitat: marine.

Bleeker specimens: AMS B.7969 (1) Indonesia.
