Habitat: marine.

Holotype (unique): SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 296. •Valid as Carapus reedi Smith 1955 -- (Arnold 1956:278 [ref. 5315]). •Juvenile of Onuxodon -- (Markle & Olney 1990:365 [ref. 18996]). •Juvenile of O. fowleri or O. parvibrachium -- (Markle in Nielsen et al. 1999:19 [ref. 24448], Koeda 2019:9 [ref. 37145]). Current status: Synonym of Onuxodon. Carapidae: Carapinae. Habitat: marine.
