Habitat: marine.

Appeared as "Plesims seeion" which apparently was mis-typeset for Plesiops semeion, later illustrated and described in Tanaka 1918:500, Pl. 137 (fig. 382) as Pharopteryx semeion. •Synonym of Plesiops coeruleolineatus Rüppell 1835.
