Paratypes: BMNH 1984.10.22.2-5 (4); USNM 268476-77 (3, 4). •Valid as Alticorpus macrocleithrum (Stauffer & McKaye 1985) -- (Eccles & Trewavas 1989:151 [ref. 13547], Maréchal 1991:2 [ref. 20944], Snoeks & Walapa 2004:34 [ref. 28057], Konings 2016:402 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Alticorpus macrocleithrum (Stauffer & McKaye 1985). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
