Type catalog: Nielsen 1974:54 [ref. 9588]. •Valid as Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:206 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1993:114 [ref. 26378]). •Valid as Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971, subspecies celiae Scheel 1971 -- (Lazara 2001:15 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:189 [ref. 30034], Agnèse et al. 2009:57 [ref. 30120]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: West-central Africa: Cameroon. Habitat: freshwater.

Also appeared as new in Radda & Scheel 1976:52 [ref. 31344]. •Synonym of Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:206 [ref. 6198]). •Synonym of Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971, and doubtfully valid as a subspecies -- (Wildekamp 1993:116 [ref. 26378]). •Synonym of Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971, but a valid subspecies winifredae Radda & Scheel 1975 as described -- (Lazara 2001:15 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:189 [ref. 30034]). Current status: Synonym of Aphyosemion celiae Scheel 1971. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Near Kumba, northwestern Cameroon [this subspecies].
