Holotype: IHASW 76iv8293. Paratypes: HU, IHASW. The name heteromacula was possibly meant, but hereromacula was used throughout the paper, so this name should be used. •Valid as Cobitis hereromacula Chen, Sui, Liang & Chen 2016 -- (Chen et al. 2018:167 [ref. 35932], Tan et al. 2019:172 [ref. 36712] as heteromacula). Current status: Valid as Cobitis hereromacula Chen, Sui, Liang & Chen 2016. Cobitidae. Distribution: Luohe River (Longjin River), Guangdong Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
