Originally as Cobitis, He-tsieou; based on style of work, when Dabry de Thiersant placed a comma after the genus, the following word (in this case He-tsieou) was a vernacular and not a specific name; not available. •In the synonymy of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (Cantor 1842) -- (Chen 1981:28 [ref. 8242], Kottelat 2013:181 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (Cantor 1842). Cobitidae.
