Current status: Valid as Cyprichromis coloratus Takahashi & Hori 2006. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa, Lake Tanganyika. Paratypes: MRAC 94-5-P-2 to 6 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1). •Valid as Cyprichromis pavo Büscher 1994 -- (Takahashi et al. 2002:1035 [ref. 26510], Takahashi 2004:3 [ref. 27593], Takahashi & Hori 2006:189 [ref. 28705], Konings 2015:200 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:212 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Valid as Cyprichromis pavo Büscher 1994. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Southern Lake Tanganyika, Africa. Habitat: freshwater. zonatus, Cyprichromis Takahashi [T.], Hori [M.] & Nakaya [K.] 2002:1029, Figs. 2-4 [Copeia 2002 (no. 4); ref. 26510] Kasenga, Zambia, 8°43'S, 31°08'E, depth 11 meters. Holotype: HUMZ 175834. Paratypes: HUMZ 175835-43 (1 ea.); MRAC A1/061/P/1-11 (1 ea.). •Valid as Cyprichromis zonatus Takahashi, Hori & Nakaya 2002 -- (Takahashi 2004:3 [ref. 27593], Takahashi & Hori 2006:190 [ref. 28705], Konings 2015:206 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:218 [ref. 36983]).
