Holotype: ZMH H343 (male). Paratypes: ZMH H343 (female) (1). Type catalog: Wilkens 1977:160 [ref. 22013] with H343 as lectotype, Wilkens & Dohse 1993:410 [ref. 21161]. Original not seen. M.] 2010:124, Figs. 1-7, 17-18 [Vertebrate Zoology v. 60 (no. 2); ref. 30947] A few hundred meters above mouth of the Igarapé Prósperitáte, a small right-hand tributary of the Rio Preto new Lago Urubu, about 12.5 kilometers north-northwest from the junction with the Rio Negro, Amazonas, Brazil. Holotype: MZUSP 106589. Paratypes: CAS 220433 (1), 220434 (1); MTD F32146 (1), F32147 (1), F32148 (1); MZUSP 106590 (1). No types known. Types mentioned: Paepke 1995:95 [ref. 21847], Paepke & Schindler 2013:267 [ref. 32895]. Occurred first in Weise in Praetorius 1935:179, fig. 4, as above according to Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:632 [ref. 27061] and Kullander 2011:73 [ref. 31290], but Weise was the editor, not the author. Although Praetorius lists Ahl as the author, that is not in in agreement with the code. Holotype: MZUSP 106591. Paratypes: CAS 220435 (1), 220436 (1); MTD F32149 (1), F32150 (1, c&s), F32151 (1), F32152 (1), F32154 (1, c&s); MZUSP 106592 (1).
