Holotype: MRAC 75-32-P-6. Paratypes: MRAC 75-32-P-7 (1), 75-32-P-8-9 (2), 75-32-P-10-12 (3). Supplemental information in Berkenkamp 1975:78a-78d, v. 4, No. 4 [ref. 33467]. •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:258 [ref. 6198]). •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895]). •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862, subspecies infrafasciatus (Günther 1866) -- (Lazara 2001:112 [ref. 25711]). •Synonym of Epiplatys infrafasciatus (Günther 1866) -- (Wildekamp 1996:79 [ref. 23649]). •Synonym of Epiplatys zenkeri (Ahl 1928) -- (Huber 2024:21 [ref. 41036]). Current status: Synonym of Epiplatys zenkeri (Ahl 1928). Nothobranchiidae. Habitat: freshwater.

Paratypes: ZMB 31495 [ex ZMB 31320 = ex ZMB 16635] (2). Type catalog: Paepke & Seegers 1986:168 [ref. 19981]. Types mentioned: Paepke 1995:94 [ref. 21847]. •Synonym of Epiplatys grahami (Boulenger 1911) -- (Wildekamp 1996:70 [ref. 23649]). •Synonym of Epiplatys infrafasciatus (Günther 1866) but a valid subspecies as described. •Valid as Epiplatys zenkeri (Ahl 1928) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:262 [ref. 6198], Lazara 2001:115 [ref. 25711], Huber 2024:21 [ref. 41036]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys zenkeri (Ahl 1928). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Africa: between Bipindi and Kribi, western Cameroon. Habitat: freshwater.
