Appeared first as above, then in more detail in Boulenger 1898:16, Pl. 3 (fig. 5) [ref. 547]. •Valid as Eretmodus cyanostictus Boulenger 1898 -- (Maréchal 1991:87 [ref. 20944], Tawil 2005:57 [ref. 28483], Konings 2015:30 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:30 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Valid as Eretmodus cyanostictus Boulenger 1898. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Southern part of Lake Tanganyika, Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
