Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:95 [ref. 13621], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:10 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Aplocheilichthys hutereaui (Boulenger 1913) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:172 [ref. 6198], Lazara 2001:38 [ref. 25711]). •Synonym of Micropanchax hutereaui (Boulenger 1913) -- (Nagy & Vreven 2018:167 [ref. 35737]). •Valid as "Lacustricola" chobensis (Fowler 1935) -- (Bragança et al. 2021:124 [ref. 38199], Ntokoane et al. 2024:[11] 325 [ref. 42593]) Current status: Valid as Lacustricola chobensis (Fowler 1935). Procatopodidae: Procatopodinae. Distribution: Southern Africa: Okavango, Cuando, upper and lower Zambesi River basin (Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia). Habitat: freshwater.
