Paratypes: MRAC 98-056-P-2 (1); SAIAB 57908 (1), 57911 (10), 58256 (7). Plus topotypes: GMNH 4420 (14). •Valid as Neolamprologus chitamwebwai Verburg & Bills 2007 -- (Kullander et al. 2014:326 [ref. 33244]). •Synonym of Neolamprologus falcicula (Brichard 1989) -- (Konings 2015:127 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:134 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Synonym of Neolamprologus falcicula (Brichard 1989). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Habitat: freshwater.

Holotype: MRAC 80-31-P-1. Paratypes: MRAC 80-31-P-2 (1), 80-31-P-3 to 7. •Valid as Neolamprologus falcicula (Brichard 1989) -- (Maréchal & Poll 1991:279 [ref. 20946], Büscher 1997:704 [ref. 23478], Schelly et al. 2003:3 [ref. 27431], Verburg & Bills 2007:40 [ref. 29303], Kullander et al. 2014:326 [ref. 33244] as cf. falcicula, Konings 2015:126 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:133 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Valid as Neolamprologus falcicula (Brichard 1989). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Tanganyika. Habitat: freshwater.
