Holotype (unique): UMMZ 249905. •Valid as Ompok karunkodu Ng 2013 -- (Sudasinghe & Meegaskumbura 2016:270 [ref. 34695]). Current status: Valid as Ompok karunkodu Ng 2013. Siluridae. Distribution: Amuravathi River drainage, Tamil Nadu, India. Habitat: freshwater.
