Neotype designated by Kottelat 1990:35 [ref. 14137]. •Valid as Nemacheilus rubidipinnis (Blyth 1860) -- (Menon 1987:152 [ref. 14149] as Noemacheilus, Talwar & Jhingran 1991:499 [ref. 20764]). •Valid as Acanthocobitis rubidipinnis (Blyth 1860) -- (Kottelat 1990:33 [ref. 14137], Bănărescu & Nalbant 1995:433 [ref. 23187], Kottelat 2012:51 [ref. 31992], Kottelat 2012:76 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:199 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Paracanthocobitis rubidipinnis (Blyth 1860) -- (Singer & Page 2015:395 [ref. 33823], Lin et al. 2023:276 [ref. 39832]). Current status: Valid as Paracanthocobitis rubidipinnis (Blyth 1860). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: South Asia: southern Myanmar. Habitat: freshwater.
