Holotype (unique): MCZ 28424. •Valid as Paraconger ophichthys (Garman 1899). Current status: Valid as Paraconger ophichthys (Garman 1899). Congridae: Bathymyrinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
