Gender of genus treated by us as masculine. •Valid as Synodontis multipunctata Boulenger 1898 -- (Ferraris 2007:317 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Synodontis multipunctatus Boulenger 1898 -- (Poll 1971:270 [ref. 7700], Gosse 1986:134 [ref. 6194], Burgess 1989:196 [ref. 12860], De Vos & Thys van den Audenaerde 1998:149 [ref. 24905], Schraml 2003:61 [ref. 27543], Wright & Page 2006:134 [ref. 28885], Englmaier et al. 2024:4 [ref. 41715], Englmaier et al. 2026:2 [ref. 42994]).
