bellibarus, Nemachilus Tchang [T.-L.], Yueh [T.-H.] & Hwang [H.-C.] 1963:625, Figs. 4-7 [Acta Zoologica Sinica v. 15 (no. 4); ref. 5591] Tso-Hwui-La, upper Nyang-Chu, southern Tibet, China. Holotype (unique): ASIZB [now NZMC] 43173 [ex TS-409]. Type catalog: Zhang 1996:500 [ref. 24036], Ye et al. 2015:59 [ref. 33808]. Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Synonym of Triplophysa brevicauda (Herzenstein 1888) -- (Zhu 1989:107 [ref. 17744], Zhang et al. 2019:381 [ref. 36699]). •Synonym of Triplophysa microps (Steindachner 1866) -- (Wu & Wu 1992:196 [ref. 21205]). •Valid as Triplophysa bellibarus (Tchang, Yueh & Hwang 1963) -- (Kottelat 2012:123 [ref. 32367], Ye et al. 2015:59 [ref. 33808]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa bellibarus (Tchang, Yueh & Hwang 1963). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: upper Yangtze River basin (China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
