Paralectotypes: (8) BMNH 1909.4.29.35-36 (2), 1909.4.29.37-40 (4), 1909.4.29.42 (1, skeleton); MRAC 154363-64 (1, 1). Lectotype selected by Poll 1965:11 [ref. 3526]. •Tentatively valid as Parakneria cameronensis (Boulenger 1909) -- (Schelly 2007:339 [ref. 30020]). •Valid as Parakneria cameronensis (Boulenger 1909) -- (Poll 1984:131 [ref. 6180], Fermon et al. 2022:134 [ref. 39448], Mutambala et al. 2022:17 [ref. 39814]). Current status: Valid as Parakneria cameronensis (Boulenger 1909). Kneriidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: southern Cameroon and Gabon. Habitat: freshwater.
