Redescribed by Roberts 1970:6 (Figs. 1-2) [ref. 30566] as Fluviphylax pygmaeus. Current status: Valid as Fluviphylax pygmaeus (Myers & Carvalho 1955). Fluviphylacidae. Distribution: South America, Amazon River basin: Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
