O.] 1975:91, Figs. 9-10 [Aquarienfreund v. 4 (no. 5); ref. 7359] 5 kilometers southeast of Kumasi, between Asukwa and Chirapatre, 6°38'N, 1°40'W, western Ghana. Holotype: MRAC 75-32-P-1. Paratypes: MRAC 75-32-P-2 (1), 75-32-P-3-5 (3). •Synonym of Epiplatys chaperi (Sauvage 1882) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:248 [ref. 6198]). •Synonym of Epiplatys chaperi (Sauvage 1882), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Berkenkamp & Etzel 1980:34 [ref. 30497], Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:631 [ref. 21590], Wildekamp 1996:39 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:102 [ref. 25711]). •Valid as Epiplatys schreiberi Berkenkamp 1975 -- (Huber 2024:35 [ref. 41036]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys schreiberi Berkenkamp 1975. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: West Africa: Ashanti region, central Ghana. Habitat: freshwater.
