L.] 1920:446, Fig. 9 [Bulletin of the United States National Museum No. 100, v. 1 (pt 7); ref. 1638] Off southern Luzon Island, Batangas Bay, between Gillolo and Makyan Islands, Philippines, Albatross station 5621, depth 214-298 fathoms. Holotype: USNM 78215. Paratypes: (1 + 6 + 4) USNM. Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Caelorinchus maculatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920 -- (Iwamoto & Williams 1999:147 [ref. 23875], Iwamoto 1999:1991 [ref. 24761], Hutchins 2001:23 [ref. 25847], Bray et al. 2006:587 [ref. 29065]). •Valid as Coelorinchus maculatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920 -- (Paxton et al. 1989:326 [ref. 12442], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:138 [ref. 18936]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus maculatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920. Macrouridae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific. Habitat: marine.
