Holotype: AMS I.769. Paratypes: (1, mounted) ?AMS. Chilodactylus polyacanthus published earlier, but as name only, is used by authors for this species (McCulloch 1929-30:257 [ref. 2948]). Original genus should have been Cheilodactylus. •Synonym of Nemadactylus douglasii (Hector 1875) -- (Allen & Heemstra 1976:312 [ref. 7330], Allen et al. 2006:1358 [ref. 29094]).
