gracilis, Leptogunnellus Ayres [W. O.] 1855:[2] col. 4 [The Pacific [newspaper] v. 4 (nos 7-22); ref. 13428] San Francisco Bay, California, U.S.A. Holotype (unique): apparently lost. Appeared first as above on 26 Jan. (continued Feb. 2, no. 9). Then in Ayres 1855:26 [ref. 159]. Apparently subjectively invalid -- secondarily preoccupied by Blennius gracilus Stuwitz 1838, replaced by Lumpenus sagitta Wilimovsky 1956. •Synonym of Lumpenus sagitta Wilimovsky 1956 -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1975:85 [ref. 7348], Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:38 [ref. 25650], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:760 [ref. 25968], Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2004:14 [ref. 27604], Parin et al. 2014:445 [ref. 33547]). 2°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Lumpenus sagitta Wilimovsky 1956. Lumpenidae. Habitat: marine.
