Holotype: BMNH 1968.8.30.251. Paratypes: BMNH 1968.8.30.252-261 (10), 1968.8.30.262-269 (8), 1968.8.30.270-291 (22). •Valid as Haplochromis erythrocephalus Greenwood & Gee 1969 -- (van Oijen et al. 1991:124 [ref. 20956], Schraml & Tichy 2010:91 [ref. 30895]). Current status: Valid as Haplochromis erythrocephalus Greenwood & Gee 1969. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Victoria. Habitat: freshwater.
