Paratypes: BMNH 1974.4.23.1 [ex ROM 28071] (1), 1974.4.23.2-4 [ex ROM 28120] (3); ROM 28071 (3), 28120 (12). •Valid as Tilapia baloni Trewavas & Stewart 1975 -- (Teugels & Thys van den Audenaerde 1991:482 [ref. 20943], Dunz & Schliewen 2013:75 [ref. 32672]). Current status: Valid as Tilapia baloni Trewavas & Stewart 1975. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Zambian Congo system. Habitat: freshwater.
