Bleeker specimens: BMNH 1880.4.21.186 (1), NMV 46409 (1). Originally as melanorhijnchus. •Valid as Achiroides melanorhynchus (Bleeker 1850) -- (Roberts 1989:183 [ref. 6439], Kottelat et al. 1993:170 [ref. 23448], Rainboth 1996:221 [ref. 22772], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:169 [ref. 28284], Parenti & Lim 2005:195 [ref. 28285], Kottelat 2013:463 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:487 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Achiroides melanorhynchus (Bleeker 1850). Soleidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Indonesia to Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
