Parophrys ischyrus Jordan & Gilbert 1880 is thought to be a hybrid between Platichthys stellatus (Pallas 1788) and Parophrys vetulus Girard 1854. •Valid as Inopsetta ischyra (Jordan & Gilbert 1880) -- (Love et al. 2021:219 [ref. 39279]). •Incertae sedis in Pleuronectidae -- (Evseenko 2004:28 [ref. 27606]).
