H.] 1966:117, Figs. 1-3 [Studies in Tropical Oceanography (Miami) No. 4 (pt 1); ref. 9059] Off Ivory Coast, just west of the offing of the St. Andrew River, 4°45'N, 6°13.5'W to 4°44'N, 16°00'W, depth 25 fathoms. Holotype (unique): ANSP 103608 [ex UMML 15299]. Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:165 [ref. 13621]. •Valid as Chlopsis olokun (Robins & Robins 1966) -- (Lavenberg 1988:255 [ref. 6617], Smith 1989:93 [ref. 13285], Smith 1990:150 [ref. 13454], Tighe & McCosker 2003:1 [ref. 26920], Tighe et al. 2015:28 [ref. 34117], Smith 2016:1613 [ref. 34556], Fermon et al. 2022:115 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Chlopsis olokun (Robins & Robins 1966). Chlopsidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Senegal south to Angola. Habitat: marine.
