Paratypes: MNHN 1935-0345 (1), 1935-0346 (1). •Synonym of Squalidus chankaensis Dybowski 1872, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Mai 1978:191 [ref. 13511]). •Synonym of Squalidus atromaculatus (Nichols & Pope 1927) -- (Kottelat 2001:43 [ref. 25482], Kottelat 2001:81 [ref. 25780], Kottelat 2013:164 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Squalidus atromaculatus (Nichols & Pope 1927). Gobionidae. Habitat: freshwater.
