Paratypes: FMNH 44792 (orig. 8, now 7); N. Borneo coll. (Fish. Dept. of Sabah) [ex FMNH 44792] (1). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:60 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Nematabramis evertii Boulenger 1894, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Bănărescu 1971:106 [ref. 20618]). •Valid as Nematabramis borneensis Inger & Chin 1962 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:38 [ref. 23448], Kottelat & Lim 1995:231 [ref. 23210], Doi 1997:8 [ref. 22832], Martin-Smith & Tan 1998:582 [ref. 23647], Kottelat 2013:126 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Nematabramis borneensis Inger & Chin 1962. Danionidae: Chedrinae. Distribution: Kalimantan, Malaysia. Habitat: freshwater.
