Type catalog: Nielsen 1974:60 [ref. 9588], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:55 [ref. 12367], Moore & Boardman 1991:16 [ref. 16741]. •Valid as Melamphaes pumilus Ebeling 1962 -- (Maul 1990:613 [ref. 17237], Kotlyar 1996:274 [ref. 23292], McEachran & Fechhelm 1998:970 [ref. 23897], Moore 2003:1163 [ref. 27002], Moore et al. 2003:217 [ref. 27076], Kotlyar 2004:4 [ref. 27590], Moore 2016:2165 [ref. 34570], Kotlyar 2016:385, 389 [ref. 35038] as pumilis, Carneiro et al. 2019:151 [ref. 37250], Sutton et al. 2020:239 [ref. 37832]). Current status: Valid as Melamphaes pumilus Ebeling 1962. Melamphaidae. Distribution: North Atlantic: between 10°N to 40°N and 25°W to 30°W. Habitat: marine.
