H., Jr.] 1957:195, Fig. 4 (upper & lower middle) [Lloydia (Cincinnati) v. 20 (no. 3); ref. 12065] Bay at north end of Wonder Lake, McHenry County, Illinois, U.S.A. Holotype: CUMV 28541. Paratypes: CUMV 17931 (48), 17946 (15), 17960 (31), 17984 (6), 22305 (2), 22326 (12), 22330 (33). Type catalog: Gilbert 1978:50 [ref. 7042], Gilbert 1998:94 [ref. 23395]. •Synonym of Notropis spilopterus (Cope 1867) -- (Gilbert 1978:50 [ref. 7042], Lee et al. 1980:312 [ref. 22416], Robison & Buchanan 1988:233 [ref. 23393]). •Synonym of Cyprinella spiloptera (Cope 1867) -- (Mayden 1989:66 [ref. 12555], Gilbert 1998:94 [ref. 23395]). Current status: Synonym of Cyprinella spiloptera (Cope 1867). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Habitat: freshwater.
