Syntypes: MNHN 0000-1333 (1); RMNH D2492 (1 stuffed), D2493 (1, stuffed), D2507 (1, stuffed). Originally as bonae-speiensis. Replacement name for Raja capensis Müller and Henle 1841, preoccupied by Raja capensis Gmelin 1789. •Synonym of Raja (Raja) cf. clavata Linnaeus 1758 -- (Compagno et al. 1991:98 [ref. 21083]). •Mention -- (Compagno & Ebert 2007:141 [ref. 30471] as bonaespaensis). Replacement Name. Current status: Synonym of Raja clavata Linnaeus 1758. Rajidae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
