Current status: Valid as Hoplunnis sicarius (Garman 1899). Nettastomatidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern Sinaloa (Mexico) south to northern Peru, including southern Gulf of California (Mexico). IUCN (2022): Data Deficient, (2022): Least Concern, as Hoplunnis pacifica. Habitat: marine.
