Syntypes: (several) IEBMT. •Valid as Salmo macedonicus (Karaman 1924) -- (Kottelat 1997:138 [ref. 22952], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:422 [ref. 29996], Simonović et al. 2007:368 [ref. 33985], Delling 2011:335 [ref. 31191], Barbieri et al. 2015:83 [ref. 35029], Schöffmann 2021:164 [ref. 38997]). Current status: Valid as Salmo macedonicus (Karaman 1924). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Southeastern Europe: Macedonia and Greece. Habitat: freshwater.
