Genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Synonym of Nemacheilus sargadensis Nikolskii 1899 -- (Coad 1981:15 [ref. 22348] as Noemacheilus). •Synonym of Schistura punjabensis (Hora 1923) -- (Kullander et al. 1999:137 [ref. 23689]). •Questionably the same as Paraschistura punjabensis (Hora 1923) -- (Kottelat 2012:201 [ref. 32367]). Current status: Synonym of Paraschistura punjabensis (Hora 1923). Nemacheilidae. Habitat: freshwater.
