Kentucky]. Paratypes: CAS 57144 [ex IU 17851] (1) [also is holotype of Lambepiedra alleni Fernandez-Yepez 1948]; USNM 167803 [ex U. Kentucky] (2), 167805 [ex IU 17851] (1), 268199-200 (1, 1); UMMZ 185271 [ex IU 15834] (1). Type catalog: Vari & Howe 1991:35 [ref. 19022]. Type series consists of 3 species according to Vari 1989. •Valid as Curimata cisandina (Allen 1942) -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:11 [ref. 9708], Vari 1989:47 [ref. 13506], Vari & Reis 1995:303 [ref. 21943], Gaye-Siessegger & Fricke 1998:6 [ref. 23755], Vari in Reis et al. 2003:52 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:105 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:41 [ref. 35633], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:15 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Curimata cisandina (Allen 1942). Curimatidae. Distribution: South America: middle and upper portions of Amazon River basin (Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
