Paralectotypes: (11) USNM 125166 [ex USNM 45555] (10). Type catalog: Gilbert 1978:66 [ref. 7042], Gilbert 1998:123 [ref. 23395]. Lectotype established in Evermann & Kendall 1894; also (as figured specimen) in caption to Pl. 47, p. 3241 in Jordan & Evermann 1900 [ref. 2446]; also designated by Suttkus 1958:308 [ref. 21233]. •Synonym of Notropis texanus (Girard 1856) -- (Gilbert 1978:66 [ref. 7042], Gilbert 1998:123 [ref. 23395]). •Synonym of Alburnops texanus (Girard 1856). Current status: Synonym of Alburnops texanus (Girard 1856). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Habitat: freshwater.
