Lectotype: USNM 45560. Paralectotypes: (81) CAS 13514 [ex IU 9042] (4); CAS-SU 1127 (1); USNM 125143 (orig. 39, now 36), 205205 [ex USNM 45560] (3). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:36 [ref. 12291], Gilbert 1978:67 [ref. 7042], Gilbert 1998:128 [ref. 23395]. Lectotype established by Evermann & Kendall 1894: Pl. 19 [ref. 12391] and as figured specimen in caption to Pl. 44, p. 3240 in Jordan & Evermann 1900 [ref. 2446]. •Synonym of Notropis emiliae (Hay 1881) -- (Gilbert 1978:67 [ref. 7042]). •Synonym of Opsopoeodus emiliae Hay 1881, subspecies emiliae -- (Gilbert 1998:128 [ref. 23395]). Current status: Synonym of Opsopoeodus emiliae Hay 1881. Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Habitat: freshwater.
