Syntypes: (2) ZMA 111488 (1). •Valid as Zenarchopterus caudovittatus (Weber 1907) -- (Collette 1974:93 [ref. 12930], Collette 1982:265 [ref. 5497], Paxton et al. 1989:339 [ref. 12442], Allen 1991:71 [ref. 21090], Larson & Williams 1997:350 [ref. 23967], Allen et al. 2000:65 [ref. 27467], Allen et al. 2002:122 [ref. 25930], Collette 2004:20 [ref. 27583], Paxton et al. 2006:739 [ref. 28994], Allen et al. 2008:71 [ref. 30265], Larson et al. 2013:70 [ref. 32988], Pusey et al. 2017:33 [ref. 35250]). Current status: Valid as Zenarchopterus caudovittatus (Weber 1907). Zenarchopteridae. Distribution: Central-southern New Guinea (Papua Province, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea) and Northern Territory, Australia. Habitat: freshwater.
