H.] 1918:677 [Proceedings of the American Philosophical Society v. 56 (no. 7); ref. 12304] Quebrada de Agua Larga, western slope of the eastern Andes, north of Bogotá, Colombia. Holotype: FMNH 58376 [ex CM 7372]. Paratypes: (25) CAS 64692 [ex IU 13686] (11), FMNH 58377 [ex CM 7373] (11). Plus additional material at CAS and FMNH; most or all at FMNH (41, 9 localities). Type catalog: Henn 1928:82 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:11 [ref. 12367] but wrongly with all as paratypes, Ferraris 2007:65 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Astroblepus micrescens Eigenmann 1918 -- (Burgess 1989:449 [ref. 12860], Schaefer in Reis et al. 2003:314 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:65 [ref. 29155], Ardila Rodríguez 2011:31 [ref. 31411], Ardila Rodríguez 2014:10 [ref. 33721], Ardila Rodríguez 2015:133 [ref. 34163], Ardila Rodríguez 2015:3 [ref. 34412], Ardila Rodríguez 2016:9 [ref. 34889], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:75 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Astroblepus micrescens Eigenmann 1918. Astroblepidae. Distribution: Magdalena River basin, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
