Current status: Valid as Oligoplites inornatus Gill 1863. Carangidae: Scomberoidinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Peru, including Gulf of California (Mexico), Malpelo Island (Colombia) and Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: brackish, marine.
