Lectotype selected by Fraser et al. 2002:181 [ref. 26401]. •Synonym of Apogon moluccensis Valenciennes 1832 -- (Fraser et al. 2002:176 [ref. 26401]). •Synonym of Ostorhinchus moluccensis (Valenciennes 1832). Current status: Synonym of Ostorhinchus moluccensis (Valenciennes 1832). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Habitat: marine.
