Current status: Valid as Siphamia guttulata (Alleyne & Macleay 1877). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: Torres Strait south to central Great Barrier Reef (Papua New Guinea and Queensland, Australia). Habitat: marine.
