Figured on Pl. 26 (fig. 3) of Lacepède 1801 [ref. 2710]. •Synonym of Rhabdosargus sarba (Gmelin 1789) -- (Bauchot & Skelton 1986:332 [ref. 6210], Fricke 1999:294 [ref. 24106], Tanaka & Iwasuki 2013:9 [ref. 32775], Siddiqui at al. 2014:87 [ref. 33479], Parenti 2019:86 [ref. 36892], Iwatsuki & Heemstra 2022:312 [ref. 39785]). Current status: Synonym of Rhabdosargus sarba (Gmelin 1789). Sparidae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
